Theatre Instructor Tara Whittick holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Education degree and continues her teaching career that has seen her work with children as young as 3 and adults as old as 93! Her passion for the performing arts first took root in school, where she reveled in playing a range of characters and embracing her creative side. Over time, that passion blossomed into expertise in acting, directing, set and costume design.

But Tara’s true joy? Teaching theatre! Highlights of her vibrant teaching career include directing high school productions, leading school-wide musicals with students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 all working together, guiding full-class dramatic storybook performances, and organizing heartfelt Remembrance Day Ceremonies. For Tara, there’s simply nothing better than seeing children grow in confidence, take bold risks, and light up the stage as their most authentic selves.
